Programs working with Native people to prevent diabetes are welcome to download and use the materials and manuals on this website. The manual is a modified version of the Lifestyle Balance manual used in the DPP. The manual was modified by Carol Percy in 2007. The NLB Core Manual includes the tools you will need to provide the 16 Core sessions of the NLB curriculum. The NLB After Core Manual provides tools and lessons for participants after they have completed the Core sessions. The original individually administered DPP Lifestyle Balance intervention (copyright 1996; 2011) was developed and written at the University of Pittsburgh by the DPP Lifestyle Resource Core on behalf of the DPP Research Group. Training and support for delivery of the DPP GLB program is offered through the University of Pittsburgh Diabetes Prevention Support Center. The GLB manual and materials are made available to the public subject to the following Creative commons License: Creative Commons – Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 3.0 .
